About Dr. Jackie Bruce

Dr. Jackie Bruce has been involved in the profession of sign language interpretation for over twenty years.

Education

Lamar University, Beaumont, Texas  - Deaf Education/Deaf Studies Program(Ed.D). 
Gallaudet University, Washington, DC  - Sign Language Interpretation Program (MA Program)  
Texas Christian University, Ft. Worth, Texas - Deaf Education Program (BA Degree)

Vision

Teach and Mentor: A world where everyone knows sign language.

Dr. Bruce is a community interpreter, mentor, consultant, presenter, educator and video relay interpreter. She has worked in the governmental, educational, religious, medical and business settings. She enjoys working as a mentor with interpreting students who are forging their way into the field.



She holds certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf(RID), National Association of the Deaf(NAD) and the State of Texas, Board of Evaluation of Interpreters(BEI).


She presently lives in Texas.
